INCREASE YOUR INTEREST IN SPONSORSHIP WITH THIS NEW IDEA!

Everyone loves a Scavenger Hunt so why not have one going on throughout the season with your sponsors. You can simply give your players and families a list of all the sponsors and tell them if they go to the sponsor get a receipt.  Supply your sponsor with a sticker   that says Proud Sponsor of xyz League to apply to the receipt so your sponsor knows that the customer is there because they sponsored the team. www.ggroupdesign.com.

At the end of the season you give a prize to the family with the most receipts from the most sponsors. The prize can be some sort of sports memorabilia that was procured or cash.  Use your imagination. In the event of a tie, you have a drawing.

If you really want to get creative you can supply each of your sponsors with some silly little thing to give out when the customers mentions the league. Maybe Joes Subs has safety pins, Dicks Sporting goods has golf tees. Whatever the case, families don’t really know what the store has until they ask and pick it up. The coordinator can have a master list. The person who gets the most items wins, I would also have the family include a receipt but that is up to you.

This idea is fun, doesn’t take much additional effort. When you are out procuring sponsors you have your little box of trinkets with you and as they write the checks you give them the scavenger items. Choose something that you can give your sponsor about 30 pieces of to start. My guess is most won’t need more then that but if they do, you can always drop more off.

My guess is some of your sponsors will opt out if they don’t have a tangible item or service to offer but it works really well for retailers, restaurants, and salons. You can decide along with your sponsors if a purchase is necessary to get credit.

Tote Bag Mayhem

Who uses tote Bags? Everyone should be! Stores are going to start charging you extra for plastic soon.

Totes start at around $1 a piece depending on size, durability and material. Print your name, logo and anything else you might want to share or offer. Maybe you are a retailer with a product. Bring this bag in and we will give you an additional 5% off on purchase or maybe even just $2 off on purchase.

Then you find a fund raiser, special event, trade show or celebration that you would like to donate these bags to. Be sure and choose a business that will surely distribute them and it is likely they will distribute them to an audience you are looking to target. Say you are a sporting goods store. Find out who the coaches are for all the sports teams at the surrounding schools. The best time for this to be effective is at the beginning of the season. The first day of practice there is usually paperwork that goes home to parents. The coach is going to love having these bags to put all the stuff in for each person on the team. Partner up with the local pizza parlor, he can put magnets with his logo, information and phone number in the bag as well.

Now were do you think the parents are going to take the kids to get the sporting apparel they need for the kids or the pizza after the game? You get the idea, it works and it’s cheap. Check out pricing on www.ggroupdesign.com.

This same concept can be used with decals, keyrings, waterbottles. The best results come when you include an offer or discount of some sort.
